The Irish had a fast start on Saturday, scoring just 4 minutes into the match through a Luc Joseph try, and shut out the Navy Midshipmen for 32 minutes before they struck twice to take the lead. A Dan Conmy penalty kick brought the Irish within 2 points at half time, 8-10. The Irish started the second half exactly as they did the match, with another Joseph try, regaining the lead 15-10 after a successful Conmy conversion.
