The University of Notre Dame Men's Rugby Program plays at the highest level of collegiate rugby in the United States. We are a founding member of the Varsity Cup in 15s and we have competed each of the past 5 summers in the NBC CRC 7s Tournament. Games are played in Fall and Spring on our attractive artifical turf field, Stinson Rugby Field, and all students at Notre Dame and Holy Cross are eligible to join the club. Irish Run out of Gas at Navy

The Irish had a fast start on Saturday, scoring just 4 minutes into the match through a Luc Joseph try, and shut out the Navy Midshipmen for 32 minutes before they struck twice to take the lead. A Dan Conmy penalty kick brought the Irish within 2 points at half time, 8-10. The Irish started the second half exactly as they did the match, with another Joseph try, regaining the lead 15-10 after a successful Conmy conversion. Navy tied the match at the 53 minute mark and play remained knotted until Navy broke the tie at 63 minutes, and added 2 more tries for good measure, and the 15-34 win. Despite the result, the Irish controlled play for much of the match, and showed tremendous passion and heart in front of a partisan crowd on hand to witness the dedication of the Jon Prusmack Rugby Complex at the US Naval Academy. Irish Name Roster for Bethel College & Navy

The Irish face a busy week, including two tough tests with matches against Bethel College at Stinson Rugby Field on Wednesday October 5 at 7pm, and at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD at Noon on Saturday October 8. 45 different players will suit up for the Irish as tonight's match will feature a reserve squad inclusive of those that will not travel to Navy.

Fighting Irish Roster Named for Road Matches at BGSU
