After a 3 week hiatus for players to return home for the holidays, the Notre Dame Men's Rugby team arrived back in South Bend today for a week of training and conditioning to prepare for the upcoming season which begins on February 25th as the Irish take on Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The rugby team continues their strength and conditioning regiment that started the day after the last game of the season against the Navy Midshipmen.
As the players began to file in on Monday, the team established some ground rules and logistics for the week. After the preliminary conditioning test, the team will have 6 training sessions from Tuesday to Thursday. Friday and Satruday have been designated HTFU (Heart, Trust, Fight, and Unity) days, where the team will focus on training in extreme conditions.
Stay tuned for daily updates, including photos as well as interviews with players and coaches for their comments on this week and the upcoming season.
